And her severe time has begun. Everyday, she must practice for the team, 5 hours a day without breaking. She must suffer Pam curses her when Liz does something wrong. However, she still smiles and keeps practicing because her desire for dancing is gigantic. She comforts herself not to give up just because of some silly words. There is a hot boy in school, named Mark, who is Liz’s boyfriend. Unfortunately, Mark is Pam’s ex-boyfriend. That’s the reason why Pam treats Liz so bad. One day, they practice for the competition. They stay after school for practicing with their teacher.
She practices with all her heart. Although she is tired, she still tries her best to practice for the team. That is why she wants to dance. She wants her team to be the best team in the city. She does not care does Pam like her or not. Suddenly, Liz accidentally kicks Pam. Pam said, “Do not touch me, stinky! You are horrible! Why don’t you go away from me just for a while? I know you like to be around me! But you know what? I don’t like to hang around with you!”
Liz cannot say anything because Pam is her leader. She would be kicked off the team if she argues back at Pam. And of course she does not want to be kicked off the team. They keep on practicing.
Liz tries her best not to cry out loud. But finally, she has to cry.
However, Liz still has Ali besides her, comforts her, and lends Li
z her warm shoulder. Liz felt like Ali is her real sister. Nevertheless, Pam does not have a real friend like Liz. She hates Liz also because of jealousy. She really wants to have just merely a friend, not even a best friend. She wants someone to be with her, hang out with her, and be close to her. But she cannot have even one. Thus, she plans to break Pam’s and Ali’s eternal friendship. One day, Ali hears some rumors in school that somebody said Ali’s parents are going to divorce. Ali is extremely shocked when she hears that news. She is asking herself how come she doesn’t know that her parents are going to split up but her friends know everything. But actually, it is just a silly gossip. She asks her friends who started the rumor. They say they heard it from Liz. Ali is now shocked even twice as the last time. She can’t believe that her best friend did that to her. That is so mean. She calls Liz out for talking. She asks Liz, “Why did you do that?”
Liz is confused, “Did what?”
“Why did you tell everybody that my parents are going to break up?”
“I did nothing, who said that?” answered Liz.
“Everybody says that! I asked them and they responded to me like I’m an idiot who does not even know that her best friend did that to her!” Ali shouted at Liz.
“Hey, I think there is some misunderstanding between us. Why do I have to say that? You are my best friend. I am still a human!”
“ No, you are not my best friend since you asked me to join that stupid dance team! You do not even care how I felt when you just used me for practicing and for joining the team. What kind of friend are you?” Ali says in a sad, low voice.
“I thought u would like joining the team! That’s why I asked you to…”
“You’ve changed, Liz! You did not even know what I like or what I think anymore!”
“ So what do you like and what do you think?”
“ I would like us to be like before and I’m thinking that we are unable to make my wish come true!”
However, Liz still feels sad because the one who does Ali cheer up is Pam, not her. But Pam accidentally asks Ali, “Did you end your friendship between Liz and you?”
Ali is surprised, “How can you say that? You sound like you had planned this before!”
Pam is a little puzzled, “Well…”
“Ok, I got it. You want me to be your friend because you want to hurt Liz. I thought you understood me. Why are you so cruel? You know that Liz and I are really close. Why do you have to make it fall apart? Didn’t you think before you do it?”
“No, Ali. I just want to have a friend! I’m jealous of you and Liz. I hate Liz because she has more friends than I do! I don’t even have one! She takes them away from me!” Pam cried.
“You know what? If you want a friend, be a friend!” said Ali.
Then Ali walks away. She suddenly sees Liz was standing near by and heard everything. Liz smiles, “At least we could be friends like yesterday!”
“Of course, give me a biggest hug ever!”
